Weasel Stomping Day 2010

Weasel Stomping Day was a great success. We were sad that the Holland family was not able to join us (illness), and we also missed the Myers family. The Myers did not have any celebration in NC.

We had some great fun decorating for WSD



A warning to any weasels



Campbell did a warning in chalk on the walkway -- we wanted to make sure that the weasels were well warned.



Megan made viking helmet apples for dessert for the children.

The children spread one quart of mayonnaise on the lawn to attract the weasels.

Kerry made a special wreath for the beginning of Weasel Stomping Day; which we celebrate on the first Saturday after the first day of Spring.

At the end of the day, all that is left are empty mayo jars, and some stomped weasels, and thoughts of next year's celebration.

Happy Weasel Stomping Day

We had a traditional Weasel Stomping Day - boots, Viking helmets, and mayonnaise spreading on the lawn. The boys have enjoyed listening to Weird Al, so they thought we should celebrate. We decided that it should be celebrated the first Saturday after Spring.

We all took turns with the Viking helmet - they are much harder to find than you would think.
